MSH Zimbra Rules 1.0 Released
After several years of building and supporting mail processing tools for Postfix, we are introducing a solution dedicated to Zimbra Collaboration Suite. MSH Zimbra Rules 1.0 is the first release of a new generation of the product, rebuilt from the ground up on the experience we gained with MSH Postfix Milter and the thousands of messages it processes every day.
The application installs directly on the Zimbra server and integrates with Zimbra’s Postfix through the milter protocol, so every message is inspected and modified before it enters the mail queue. Everything is managed from a browser-based administrator panel, with no desktop application to install and no client-side plugins to roll out.
What is in the box
Four rule families cover the everyday needs of a mail administrator. Signature rules append personalized, HTML-rich signatures to outgoing mail, placed under the reply text or at a fixed marker. Disclaimer rules add compliance text at the top or bottom of a message, with duplicate detection so the same disclaimer is not stacked through long reply threads. Autoresponder rules send automatic replies with rate limiting and loop protection. Policy rules block, reroute or modify messages with around 19 actions, including attachment stripping and compression, header manipulation, subject rewriting and forwarding.
Signatures and disclaimers are built once as templates, with a signature wizard, a visual designer, raw HTML editing and import from existing HTML files. Placeholders such as first name, job title, phone and photo are filled from the Zimbra directory at send time, so users, groups and domains never have to be entered by hand. A rules tester lets you simulate the mail flow with a sample message before touching real traffic, and the events history shows exactly which rules were applied to every processed message.
